Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how www.koppen.co ("Koppen," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from our site. We're committed to being transparent about how we handle your data.
Information We Collect
When you browse our site, we automatically collect certain device and usage information, including your IP address, browser type, time zone, pages viewed, and how you interact with the site. This information is collected through cookies, log files, and similar tracking technologies and is used to keep the site running properly and to understand how people use it.
When you place an order, we collect the information necessary to process and fulfill your purchase: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment information. We use this to process transactions, arrange shipping, send order confirmations, and communicate with you about your purchase. We also use order information to screen for fraud.
When you contact customer support, we collect the information you share with us in order to assist you.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Process and fulfill your orders

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
How We Share Your Information
We share your information with trusted service providers who help us operate our business:
- Shopify powers our online store and processes order and payment data. You can review Shopify's privacy practices at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- Payment processors handle transaction data securely. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
- Shipping and fulfillment partners receive your name and address to deliver your order.
- Marketing and analytics tools may receive anonymized or aggregated usage data to help us understand site performance and reach relevant audiences.
We may also disclose your information when required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Koppen or others.
Behavioral Advertising
We may use your information to show you relevant ads on other platforms. We work with advertising partners including Google and Meta, who may use cookies and pixel technologies to serve ads based on your visits to our site.
You can opt out of targeted advertising through:

Cookies
We use cookies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and collect analytics. You can control cookie settings through your browser — note that disabling cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
The cookies we use fall into two categories: those necessary for the store to operate (cart, checkout, login session) and those used for reporting and analytics (Shopify analytics, landing page tracking, referral tracking).

Sensitive Personal Information (CPRA)
Under the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), certain categories of personal information are classified as "sensitive" and are subject to additional protections.
The following describes how we handle sensitive personal information:
- Payment card information — We collect payment data solely to process your transactions. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; all payment processing is handled by our secure third-party payment processors.
- Precise geolocation — We do not collect precise geolocation data.
- Account login credentials — If you create an account with us, your login credentials are used only to authenticate your identity and manage your account.
Your Right to Limit Use
You have the right to direct us to limit our use of your sensitive personal information to only what is necessary to perform the services you requested. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond fulfilling your order and maintaining your account. As a result, we do not currently offer a "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" opt-out link, as we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require one under CPRA.
Additional CPRA Rights
In addition to the rights outlined above, California residents also have the right to:
- Opt out of automated decision-making — We use limited automated fraud screening (provided by Shopify) to protect against fraudulent transactions. This does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.
- Data minimization — We only collect personal information that is adequate and relevant to the purposes for which it is collected.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you'd like us to delete your information, please contact us directly.
